Meet the Faculty
Holly Powell – Studio Director
Holly Powell started her love for dance at the young age of 3. By the time she was 12 years old, she had already competed in numerous competitions/conventions which allowed her to be crowned Dancer of the Year (DOTY) at Rainbow Connection Nationals in 2009. This allowed her the opportunity to travel to Australia with 3 other American representatives to compete internationally. Her passion for dance continued to grow as she focused her studies in many different styles of dance including jazz, ballet, lyrical, contemporary, hip-hop, jazz-funk, heels, and tap. At 18, Holly joined the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader for 2 NFL Season and continued her professional career in LA. There, she worked in film, live performances with Pitbull, Jason Derulo, & more artist, music videos, and toured with Step One Dance Company on Holland America Cruise Line. Now, Holly is a lake local who is ready to take all her experience and knowledge to teach young dancers how to build the confidence to believe anything is possible and that they can achieve their dreams with hard work.

Lexie Rambo – Dance Instructor
Lexie Rambo, former owner of a local dance studio, began dancing at the age of two here in Lake Ozark. She trained in predominantly ballet, jazz, contemporary, hip-hop, and tap. She’s competed in various competitions around the Midwest and has won numerous awards and scholarships starting at the age of five. Lexie started teaching dance at the age of 16. When she was 18, she moved to Fayetteville, AR, where she was fortunate enough to work with the young women at the Williams Center Rhythm Factory. Also at 18, Lexie auditioned for Fox’s So You Think You Can Dance. She has been extremely fortunate to work with renowned choreographers throughout her dance career and can’t wait to share her talent with others. Lexie has found a passion for teaching dancers, but she believes it goes far past the moves. Lexie focuses on empowering dancers and hopes that every person that walks into her class leaves feeling uplifted and cared for. She can’t wait to share her passion for dance with those around her. Anyone who knows her, knows she eats, sleeps, and breathes the world of dance.
Skylar Colyer – Dance Instructor
Skylar is a 26 year-old, born & raised at the Lake of the Ozarks. Her dance journey began at the young age of 3. She was a high school dance team member and attended studios around the lake including Elite Performing Arts in Jeff City. Skylar shares a deep love and passion for dance that she is so excited to share with everybody that comes along the way. Skylar also has a daughter who loves to dance at Dance Complex LOZ!

Kendra Carlson – Acro Instructor
Kendra is a passionate and experienced Cheer and Gymnastics Coach with over a decade of coaching expertise. A former high school and gymnast, she has spent the last 10 years coaching youth, high school, and college cheerleading, Specializing in tumbling, As well as 5 years coaching youth gymnastics. Currently, she is an assistant cheer coach at Osage High School, where she helps athletes develop their skills and confidence. Raised in Colorado, Kendra moved to the lake 3 years ago and enjoys life with her husband and their 4 children. Her dedication to coaching young athletes is matched by her love for family and the joy of being a part of the lake community.
